A Healthcare Assistant plays an essential role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and wellbeing. At We Good Care Ltd, our Healthcare Assistants provide compassionate and person-centred care within residential homes, nursing homes, dementia care services, and other healthcare settings across Sussex and Scotland.

Healthcare Assistants support individuals with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance, while also helping with nutrition, hydration, and emotional wellbeing. They work closely with nurses, senior carers, and wider healthcare teams to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

We also provide dedicated 1-to-1 care support for residents within care home settings, working alongside the care home team to offer additional reassurance, supervision, companionship, and personalised support where required. In addition, We Good Care Ltd can provide direct support services for private clients within the care home premises, in collaboration with and with the support of the care home management and staff team.

In addition to direct care, Healthcare Assistants help maintain accurate daily records, monitor residents’ wellbeing, report any concerns to senior staff, and encourage social interaction and engagement. Their role is vital in creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day.
